Walking the walk for Astro Fund

Holkham Hall"One bright and crisp sunny October Sunday morning, we arrived at Holkham Hall raring to go. Once all our party had assembled, including two four legged friends, we registered and were off. The first leg was built for children with lots of fun and games along the way. There were prizes to be won and enjoyment to be had by everyone.

"Halfway round and it was time to stop for a bit of welcome refreshment. Some of us were flagging a bit by now and a couple of our party decided 6 miles was enough for them and took the short cut back to the finish. The rest of us pushed on, walking by the beautiful lake, watching the deer among the trees. Time and miles went quickly as there was so much to take in - such a beautiful setting - how lucky we are to live in Norfolk!

Holkham Hall"Before we knew it, we were crossing the finishing line and having our miles added to the total walked. We felt a great sense of achievement that we managed to walk the miles and raise money, thanks to generous sponsors, for such a worthy cause. Time for a welcome cuppa and carrot cake in the tearoom before making our way home."
