Rosa Birchenough reports:
“We held the concert on Friday 20th March at the Dean Church, conducted by Calum Robertson, and sang various pieces by Rachmaninoff, Peter Backhouse and more! We sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts and cakes from Costa, as well as raffle tickets with prizes such as classes to Tribe Yoga.
Archie made a speech about the Astro Brain Tumour Fund and his personal experience, and we hosted the raffle towards the end of the night. None of this would have been possible without the ESCA, the Krispy Kreme Fundraising initiative, the generosity of Costa Waverley and other vendors who donated raffle prizes, and our guests who came to the concert, bought tickets, and made donations. A huge thanks to the Dean also for hosting us.
It was a pleasure to be able to raise money for such a fantastic cause by coming together as a choir. It was a delightful evening, and I truly believe that this is what community is all about”.
