Neal Blatherwick writes:
My family and I recently organised a Charity Afternoon Tea, held in a local church hall, in Derby, in memory of my Catherine. 149 people attended and a great afternoon was had by all.
The funds raised were boosted by a raffle, held during the afternoon, the sale of painted log Santas made by a family friend, and from an afternoon tea held in a friends garden.
£1000 has been donated to Astro Brain Tumour Fund, and donations have also been made to a local hospice and another local organisation.
Many thanks to all who made and donated cakes, to all who helped before, during and after the tea, and to all those who came.
