After a three year fight against a brain tumour, Samantha sadly passed away on 28th March 2021 surrounded by her family. Her family opened a Just Giving page in her memory, supporting Astro Brain Tumour Fund.
Samantha’s family say that she was a vibrant and confident person with a wide circle of family and friends. Her diagnosis came unexpectedly at a point of real ascendancy in her life; having met her partner Craig, finished her counselling qualifications and progressed through her successful career as a dental nurse.
Samantha fought with great courage and bravery throughout her three year battle, never losing hope and being fantastically supported by Craig, her family and friends throughout this period.
Over the last months since her passing, Samantha’s family have continued to fundraise for the charity. Her brother, David, is donating £50 from his company, Rooftrust, for every installation he carries out and he and a group of friends climbed Ben Nevis in August. Kris organised a non-uniform day and raffle at his place of work, Tesco, South Shields.
As a result of the generosity of all who knew and loved Samantha, a total of £15,380 (including Gift Aid) has been raised for Astro Brain Tumour Fund. This amazing amount is testimony to the high regard in which Samantha was held by so many people.
