“On March 25th this year I took part in my 2nd ultra white collar boxing event in memory of our good friend Samantha Bruce who passed away in 2021 from a brain tumour. Sam left us far too early and left a massive hole in our lives. I decided back in December 2022 I wanted to try and raise some money for charity in her memory so signed up for the UWCB. From the 1st event I took part in (and won) we raised £1170 for cancer research which was a great result and I enjoyed the event so much decided to sign up again this January to again raise funds for charity and also push myself to get fit again!

The night was again a massive success, raising £300 for Astro Brain Tumour Fund plus another £245 for CRUK and me winning the fight again (just this time mind!)

Sam’s family attended the event which made me try even harder and was so proud to have them in support on the night.

I’m currently in retirement after but I’m sure when winter comes I could be tempted to do another!”
